About Us

In 1982, the ZNO Community Service Fund Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, was established by the dedicated members of Zeta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated® to serve the Westchester County community.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, an esteemed international service organization founded in 1908 at Howard University in Washington, D.C., as the pioneering Greek-letter organization established by African-American college-educated women.

In 1953, the Black population in Westchester County saw significant growth at the professional level, leading to the realization of the need for a strong women's group in a leadership role in the county. This led to the establishment of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. Zeta Nu Omega Chapter on March 12, 1955.
