Joanne Askew currently serves as the President of the ZNO Community Service Fund Inc., providing on-going service and assistance to improve the quality of life for Westchester County residents through community service.

As a Sr. Human Resources Manager at an international law firm, she has spent significant time working with community organizations, coordinating youth summer internship programs, and conducting seminars on interviewing and employment job preparation.

She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Zeta Nu Omega Chapter. Joanne actively promotes the organization's international programs and strengthens and nurtures community partnerships throughout Westchester.

A breast cancer survivor, Joanne is a strong supporter of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. She actively participates in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer. As an elder of First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon and Co-Christian Educational Chairman, she enjoys working for betterment and growth of the church.

Joanne is a graduate of Purchase College, SUNY. She also holds a Human Resources Management Certificate from New York University.

Joanne is married to Jesse Askew, and together they have three daughters.
