Empowering Our Families
Strong communities begin at home. Across Westchester County, we take a whole family approach, supporting every generation under one roof because when families have what they need to thrive, the entire community grows.
Our work focuses on meeting the needs of families when support matters most. Through community partnerships and targeted programs, children gain access to nutritious meals, young people develop leadership skills, and individuals are connected with resources that promote mental and emotional well-being.
These efforts help build healthier families and stronger communities across Westchester County by creating opportunities for greater stability and long-term success.
Your support can help us expand access to these resources, ensuring more families have the opportunity to thrive and no one has to face life's challenges alone.
Youth Leadership Institute (YLI)
Leadership begins earlier than most people realize. Designed for youth ages 11 to 13, the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) engages young people during a pivotal stage of development, when their identities are taking shape and their possibilities are expanding. The program helps participants recognize that they already possess the potential to become confident and capable leaders.
The Youth Leadership Institute is built on the belief that young people learn best by leading. Participants take an active role in the program, building confidence through meaningful involvement and shared responsibility. Through interactive activities and workshops, they strengthen essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and self-confidence.
Held at Lincoln School in Mount Vernon, the Youth Leadership Institute provides a welcoming environment where young people are encouraged to learn, explore, and grow.
An investment in the Youth Leadership Institute is an investment in the future. Your support helps equip the next generation with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to become leaders in their schools, neighborhoods, and communities.
